H.P.COMPRESSOR REAVELL SAT-4H/5H/6H/7H.MK8

all sat compressor are single acting,three stage,two crank machines,except for the SAT7H,the second stage is above the first stage with the third stage above its own crosshead.on the sat7h,however,the third stage is above the first with the second stage above its own crosshead......


-valve assemblies in the first and second stages are of the flat plate,low lift type while the third stage valves are of the thimble type.all valve assemblies are easily accessible for maintenance and replacement when required

-maintenance:
.after the first running time:
-----15 hours.....check that alignment and belt tensioning in correct
-----100 hours....drain and change crankcase oil
-----250 hours....remove and examine all suction and delivery valve,
..................check that all safety devices are in good condition
..................bursting disc(s)corrosion rod...etc
-every 500hours(12weeks).....check that alignment and belt tension in correct
-every 1000hours(25weeks)....remove and service all suction and delivery valve
...if,after the first two valve inspection all appears well,the removal and service
of all valves may be extended to every 1000 hours
....drain crankcase oil
....if necessary clean cylinder lubricator sight feed glasses
-every 2000hours:examine connecting rod big end bearing and crank pins
..if these are not in good condition examine the main bearing
..examine ball valves and springs in cylinder lubricator system
..check prssure gauge for correct readings
-every 8000hours:
..the comprssor should be given full mechanical check

H.P.COMPRESSOR REAVELL MK7 (four cylinder,four stage)

H.P.COMPRESSOR REAVELL TC31/2 MK7 (HPC MK7) is a four stage tandem,two crank,single acting machine..the compressor has a single crankshaft with two lines running gear phased 180 degrees apart.the cylinder are arranged so that the FOURTH stage cylinder is above the FIRST stage cylinder AND the THIRD stage cylinder above the SECOND stage cylinder..SECOND and THIRD stage PISTON are cast integral.while the FOURTH stage carries a PLUNGER wich is secured to the top of the FIRST stage PISTON..
-TWO oil lubrication systems:a main,forced lubrication systems suplies the main running gear and FIRST and SECOND stage piston and cylinders,while a SECONDARY system lubricates the THIRD and FOURTH stage cylinders
-SEPARATORS are fitted after each compression stage and are automatically drained through diaphragm drains valves at 30-minute interval
-THE COMPRESSOR is designed to deliver 40 cu.ft.of free air per minute againts a pressure of 4000 lbf/in2.when running at 1000 rpm
